Ryan McCarthy is a Partner of A&M Capital. He has spent the last 22 years helping middle-market companies navigate various forms of growth, transition or inflection, including as an owner, investor, operator and management consultant. As an investor, Mr. McCarthy has led numerous transaction structures including family / founder capital solutions, corporate carveouts, buy and builds, middle market buy-outs, special situations, structured solutions and debt investments. He enjoys helping companies undergoing a transformation (from growth to turnaround), by partnering with management teams and bringing the tools of A&M to achieve their long-term goals and potential. But because of the debt companies end up owing creditors as part of a deal, they sometimes find themselves with such high interest payments that they can’t make the investments necessary to be competitive or even stay afloat.
